Dear Roxanne Shantè,

You’re so strong mamas, to have to raise your sisters when you were a child yourself. You were suppose to be playing on the mattress too. You should have been protected from those men that took advantage of your ignorance. No girl deserves to be treated that way. It’s hard to say all men aren’t like that when it’s all you’ve seen. I wish I could hug that little Shantè and let her know it’s going to be okay.

To all the ladies dealing with the same situation my heart truly goes out to you and I’m most definitely praying for you! You were born with a purpose, no matter what ANYONE told you you ARE precious! You are a QUEEN! Don’t let them (even your thoughts) tell you any different. You are loved! You are worthy of living! Who you are is and always has been more than enough! Don’t let this world turn your heart cold. You are strong but there’s only so much that can be taken… where that line is?? We still don’t know.
